2022-2023 Team Gummy Bears Welcome Back Letter & Class Info

Please click the link below for a wealth of information and technology instructions.

Welcome Letter & Tech Instructions

2022-2023 Team Gummy Bears Family Questionnaire

This is specifically for parents/guardians. Please fill this out at your earliest convenience. There is no need to fill this item out more than once (for each teacher) as both Mrs. Henry and I will share the data submitted.

If your student has parents/guardians at two different residences, we would like an individual from each home to fill out the survey. In this scenario, each individual may provide unique information from one another and we completely respect this possibility.

Please complete the family questionnaire by Friday, August 5th (8/5/22).

2022-2023 Team Gummy Bears Class Expectations Contract

We'd like both student and parent to read through the google form together, answering all questions and submitting upon completion.

Please complete the class expectations contract by Friday, August 5th (8/5/22).

Overall Tips for Success

*Be Organized

-Keep your work neat

-Label and title all work

-Stay on top of due dates

-With your parents often

-With your teacher often (especially proactively)

-Don't let simple issues become big problems

-Turn it in on time, don’t get behind

-Do all assigned homework (in math, each math assignment is a specific skill & build upon one another)

-Studying is an assignment, we recommend 10-20 minutes of study time each night to reinforce topics covered daily

*Extra Help

-Tell your teacher early and often if you need extra help

-Advocating for help will enable your teacher to work with you and schedule help time, if needed

We will use Classlink to access the various apps needed for each course.  The easiest way to sign in to Classlink is via the Bristow website (right side, near the top).

For directions on how to get started with EVERYTHING on your computer, click the Parent Technolgy Support icon (right side of this page under feedback drop down box).

For directions on how to access and/or troubleshoot a specific app like Classlink, Canvas, Pearson, or MyBackpack, see My Locker (left of this page).

  • All assignments can be accessed by using Classlink (click on the icon on the BMS website), opening the MyBackpack app, selecting the proper class, then opening up Canvas.  Be sure to read any announcements (if any) for the course when opening MyBackpack.
