Visitor Procedures

School Office hours are 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Monday thru Friday. All visitors to campus which include classroom/school-sponsored student events between the hours of 7:30 AM-4:00 PM are required to sign in at the front office and show picture ID upon request by staff. A staff member may accompany visitors while they are on school grounds. All visitors are required to follow registration procedures including wearing visitor identification badges while on school grounds. (AR 1250) Classroom visitations must be made with the classroom teacher no less than 24 hours in advance. The employee will notify the Principal or designee at least 24 hours before the arrival of the visitor. If the front office does not receive notice of the school visitation, the visitor will not be allowed on campus.

In order to register, a visitor shall, upon request, furnish the Principal or designee with the following information: (Penal Code 627.3)
1. His/Her name, address, and occupation
2. His/Her age, if less than 21
3. His/Her purpose for entering school grounds
4. Proof of identity/picture ID
5. Other information consistent with the provisions of law

The Principal or designee may refuse to register any outsider if he/she reasonably concludes that the individual’s presence or acts would disrupt the school, students, or employees; would result in damage to property; or would result in the distribution or use of a controlled substance. The Principal or designee or school security officer may revoke any visitor’s registration if he/she has a reasonable basis for concluding that the individual’s presence on school grounds would interfere or is interfering with the peaceful conduct of school activities or would disrupt or is disrupting the school, students, or staff.
